  • The Green Destinations Core Criteria – considered essential to achieve basic sustainability performance
  • Writing your best Good Practice Story – how to identify the best story, how to use the Story template, how to use it as a competitive advantage after selection to the Top 100, etc.

This training includes video presentations, webinars with industry experts and live Q&A sessions.

How do we evaluate?

The procedure and evaluation of the Top 100 competition are supervised and supported by a partnership of organisations, led by Green Destinations and supported by the Future of Tourism Coalition. Each submission is evaluated by two trained Top 100 evaluators.

The selection to the Top 100 list is entirely based on results from STEP 2. The Good Practice Stories will be evaluated on: (1) Completeness of document, (2) Innovative character of the good practice, (3) Effectiveness of the good practice, (4) Transferability of the good practice and (5) the number of sustainability pillars related to the good practice.

Completeness of the submission
Innovative character of the Good Practice
Effectiveness of the Good Practice
Transferability of the Good Practice
The number of sustainability pillars (Environment, Economy, Social) related to the Good Practice

The Top 100 Committee, composed of international experts – Green Destinations auditors – will overview the evaluation process.
