Local communities and tourism professionals around the world are slowly recovering from the biggest crisis that the tourism industry has faced over the past 75 years.
However, multiple lockdowns and travel restrictions over the past two years have created a divide, amplifying the need to reconnect now. Even though some have started doing so at local, national or regional events, the global Green Destinations Network and Community have not yet had a chance to do so. After years apart, the Green Destinations annual flagship event is the chance to reunite for a responsible future of tourism.
This 7th edition of our flagship event is a unique valuable opportunity to increase market exposure, establish leadership in sustainable development, network and generate leads.
Green Destinations is looking for Day Hosts to contribute who share our desire to find a better way forward for tourism. Support from event hosts is crucial to enabling the reunion and achieving our mission for a more responsible future of tourism.
Day 1: World Tourism Day at Green Destinations 2022
World Tourism Day is dedicated to the celebration of tourism and also marks the public opening of the Green Destinations 2022. This day will be opened by a series of keynote speakers, including the Mayor of Athens, and the President of Green Destinations, followed by several sub-events to discuss national and international issues and development in tourism, including a Greek World Tourism Day.
Day 2: Sustainable Tourism Stories at Green Destinations 2022
This summit is dedicated to the sharing of good practices in the tourism industry, for both destinations and businesses. A wide range of topics will be discussed, from governance and management, marketing, environmental projects or community development. This day is a chance to nurture peer-to-peer learning, discuss synergies and, together, find a way forward for tourism.
Green Destinations is delighted to provide organisations with the opportunity to increase their market exposure, network and generate leads by reaching the Green Destinations 2022 audience of tourism professionals and experts, destination management and marketing organisations, tourism businesses and regional and national tourism boards. Depending on the type of organisation, there are two distinct categories of Green Destinations 2022 Contributors:
Field Trip Contributors
Green Destinations will be delighted to receive support from organisations in the tourism sector, able to offer value to delegates wishing to take part in one of the field trips offered around Greece following Green Destinations 2022. Locations may include Hydra, Athens, Moni and Aegina islands. To learn more about the destinations, please contact us.
Green Destinations is delighted to receive contributions from any other organisations that would like to benefit from this unique opportunity to reach the Green Destinations 2022 audience as a Summit Contributor at an affordable cost.
