Selection for the Destination Awards at ITB Berlin 2020

Neither this Call nor the Conference is restricted to Top 100 Destinations. However, Top 100 destinations (incl. those who successfully complete their ACP application by mid-July) who submit good practice cases by 1 August are eligible for the Sustainable Destination Awards at ITB Berlin 2020.

For selected delegates, the Conference registration fee can be discounted or waived, but the number of waivers is limited. Priority will be given to Top 100 destinations:

  • that participate in a certification program using the GSTC-Recognised Green Destinations Standard;
  • whose Good practice story is selected for presentation (orally or as a poster) for the ITB Destination Awards competition.

Destinations that have already submitted a story for this year’s Sustainable Top 100 (ITB Berlin) can resubmit this same story in the new template.

Also, businesses are encouraged to present Good practices related to priority themes. Depending on the entries by businesses, the ITB Berlin Awards Jury can decide to issue a special Green Destinations Business Award at ITB Berlin 2020.
