Canary Islands works towards putting on the map their sustainable tourism practices. In addition, Canary Green proactively manages their own environmental projects and campaigns.
Sustainable First inspires actions and strategies for moving towards a more sustainable pattern of development in tourism providing prosperity and opportunities for all. Sustainable First’s vision is to make the tourism industry the leading activity sector in implementing sustainable strategies while linking them to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Sustainable First is not a certification program but aims to recognize individuals, companies and organizations making significant efforts and contributing to the environmental, social and economic welfare of the planet.
The Slovenia Information portal developed by the Slovenian Tourism Board to showcase their commitment to sustainability. For generations their community has lived and worked as one with nature and we hope to preserve it for generations to come. Slovenia is proud of their ancient forests, crystal clear waters, unspoiled nooks and remarkable biodiversity. In partnership with Green Destinations the Slovenia Green label was developed to reward their most sustainable destinations.
The Future of Tourism is a coalition of six non-governmental organizations who share the global mission to place destinations at the centre of recovery strategies. The Coalition encourages destinations, tour operators, OTAs, communities and oyher organisations to align behind and commit to their Guiding Principles and achieve a sustainable future.
The Nature For Health (NFH) foundation aims to improve the quality of life and the living environment by connecting health and nature. The foundation is a non-profit organization. NFH offers scientists, entrepreneurs, governments, healthcare institutions and residents’ initiatives a platform to bring together practical and scientific knowledge and experiences. And to translate this knowledge into new multidisciplinary applications that contribute to social innovation.
